William Lenz has over 15 years of full life-cycle software development experience within the Intelligence Community and Telecom industries. Prior to joining Optensity, Mr. Lenz developed a number of large scale systems within the IC while working for Solers and CACI. He also specializes in R&D and prototyping efforts within Service Oriented Architectures. During his time in the Telecom industry, Mr. Lenz led software development efforts specializing in Customer Care and Billing for a number of large telcos.

Mr. Lenz holds a BS in Applied Mathematics/Computer Science from the University of Colorado.

Frank White

Frank White is the driving force behind Optensity’s app composition and cloud virtualization vision. He brings over 25 years experience in component based software systems ranging from original R&D through commercial product delivery and world-wide support. He also bring substantial experience as chief architect on several enterprise-scale information systems and cloud-based utility computing programs within the US DoD and IC. Prior to co-founding Optensity, Mr. White was employed by Solers, Inc. as Chief Architect for Mission Ground Systems, where he led several highly innovative advanced R&D programs for the National Reconnaissance Office, the Office of Naval Research, and others. Mr. White also founded Ellipsis, Inc., a software company that built a composable laboratory information management software (LIMS) product that enjoyed world-wide sales. The software IP was sold to National Instruments, Inc. in 1996.

Mr. White holds a BS in Electronics Engineering from Tufts University.

Scott Zimmer

Scott Zimmer specializes in providing subject matter expertise to system and software architects so they can quickly transition emerging techniques from the research community to practical applications. Dr. Zimmer has also been the lead developer for the AppSymphony product and played a critical role in the initial prototype demonstration with an IC customer. As the development lead for AppSymphony, he has integrated numerous components into the product, including Hadoop and real time data processing. Dr. Zimmer received his doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas and brings extensive development and integration experience to the team.

Dr. Zimmer holds a BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas.

Jonathan Miller has over 15 years experience leading the implementation of large scale distributed systems for numerous commercial and government entities.  His portfolio of work has spanned finance, e-commerce, mobile, cyber security, sensor networks and space systems with extensive focus in the areas of high performance computing, big data storage, web services and messaging.  He endeavors to reduce the complexity of sophisticated technologies, exposing their power to end users who aren’t as concerned about the bits as they are about the final result.

Mr. Miller holds a Bachelor’s of Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware and an MS in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
